Benefits of Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an essential vitamin needed for the proper function of many organs in the body. It is also an antioxidant, which means it helps to slow down processes that damage cells. It is a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin E is found in many food including cereals, poultry, vegetable oils, meat, fruits, vegetables, eggs, and wheat germ oil. It is also available as a supplement.


Safety Precautions

Vitamin E is LIKELY SAFE for most people who are generally healthy, when taken orally (by mouth) or topically (by applying on the skin). Most people do not experience any side effects when they take the recommended daily dose, which is 15 mg.

However, Vitamin E is POSSIBLY UNSAFE if taken orally in high doses. If you have heart disease or diabetes, or any related medical conditions, it is not recommended to take doses of 400 IU/day or more.

The higher the dose, the higher the risk of adverse side effects.

High doses may also cause diarrhea, nausea, weakness, stomach cramps, headache, blurred vision, fatigue, rash, and bruising and bleeding.

In short: Vitamin E is best to combat toxins inside the body and appear more glowing and beautiful. However, it needs to be taken IN MODERATION, friends! 🙂
